ISTANTANEE DI VINO 2012 - Young & Wine Edition

Within the scope of the 2012 initiatives, the Consortium organises “Istantanee di Vino 2012 – Young &Wine Edition”, the second edition of the project which focuses on the great tradition and complexity of our wine from a new and youthful perspective: the photographs accompany the spectator on a journey to the winegrowing reality of Monferrato where the subjects are the wine, wineries, work of man and territory which produces Barbera d'Asti D.O.C.G.

A SIP OF HISTORY - THE VIDEO DEDICATED TO BARBERA D'ASTI

2010 CAMPAIGN

Barbera d'Asti has obtained the DOCG. This recognition has a double meaning for us: an undisputed guarantee of quality and a great pride for the territory. The Consortium has taken this opportunity to organize an advertising campaign in the whole area of northwest Italy by adopting creativity of great impact and memorability..

NIZZA E' BARBERA

The Consortium, in association with the Enoteca Regionale of Nizza and the town of Nizza Monferrato, has been organising numerous editions of the food and wine show “Nizza è Barbera".

BARBERA D'ASTI AT PALACE

During the truffle month, the Consortium has conceived three special events in the first weekends of November with the aim of combining art, wine and territory. The location of the event “Barbera d’Asti at Palace” is the impressive Palazzo Mazzetti, where you can enjoy a free guided tour of the Palace and its Museum.

VARCO PROJECT

Acronym for “Valorization of the chemical-physical and sensorial properties of wines with denomination of origin produced from Cortese and Arneis grapes using innovative ageing technics”, the VARCO project is an experiment which concerned the study of three ageing methods for wines: limpid, in contact with active dry yeast cells or in contact with yeast cells after termination of the alcoholic fermentation (sur lies).

MONFERRATO PROJECT

“Characterisation of oenological productions in the Monferrato district: enhancing the value of the DOC wines, Monferrato Rosso and Monferrato Bianco”, coordinated and financed by Piedmont Region, is an experiment that follows on from previous experiences accomplished in Alto and Basso Monferrato, which have recently made it possible to identify certain cultivars new to our area and of interest from a production and oenological viewpoint.

CONSUMPTION OF BARBERA DOC WINES IN ITALY

“Knowledge of the Italian market through the analysis of wine consumption trends: Barbera d’Asti, Barbera del Monferrato, Barbera d’Alba, Barbera Colli Tortonesi, Piemonte Barbera” is a study promoted by the Consortium for the Defence of the Wines of the Asti and Monferrato Districts in order to create an updated and complete database for the Italian market.
