Never before has the number of wineries from Piedmont been so high at Prowein in Düsseldorf, the world’s leading trade fair for wine and spirits. Of the 295 Piedmontese estates, 55 are associated to the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato.

Event in Gӧteborg

Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, the first edition of the Barolo & Friends Event has been organized in Gӧteborg, second Sweden city for numbers of inhabitants, well known for its wine and food tradition. The event featured a session reserved to the accredited sector professionals and a session open to the public of local wine lovers, with the aim of promoting Piedmontese wines in an increasingly growing market. And the Sweden market has proved to be very interested in Italian wines, especially top quality ones.

Italy of wine: the excellence of Slow Wine and I Vini del Piemonte in Stockhom

Thursday, February 9th, 2017, the consortium Barbera d’Asti with the consortium of promotion I Vini del Piemonte and Slow Wine, Slow Food’s guide of Italian wines, came back to Stockholm, after the positive debut in 2016, with a top level event to present the very best of the Italian and Piedmontese wine production, in particular, to the Sweden public. The event was divided in two different sessions: one reserved to final consumers and one for professionals. It has been a great occasion to start important business relationships, because producers got in touch both with the representative of the state monopoly (who manages the sales of wine and spirits to private citizens) and with companies and importers who manage the import for restaurants, hotels, and retail to the Ho.Re.Ca sector, second channel of supply of alcoholic drinks in the country. The wine companies selection was extremely strict as further guarantee for Sweden enthusiasts who had the opportunity to get close to those who produce fair, clean and good wine.
